Monthly value & exploratory research (Movers)

Reaching out and talking directly with Torre's users is the most consequential research to understand if and how Torre solves users' problems with our core interactions or jobs to be done.

Getting to know the user is no easy fit, so, aside from our user sessions within the Experimento framework, we make a recurrent effort with our Monthly value & exploratory research sessions (or Movers for short, as in the ones that set something in motion 🚀.)

The objective of each Mover session is to test our core interactions in four main types of value: Functional, Monetary, Social, and Psychological value. We achieve this goal by interviewing users directly, and for that, you should consider the following:

  1. You'll recruit and interview groups of five users per funnel stage, per job-to-be-done.
    1. In the case of talent seekers, you will divide them by type of talent seekers, currently, we have Agile or Essential talent seekers. This may change in the future depending on the additional paid services we may offer.
    2. To recruit talent seekers, either Agile or Self-service, you will have to talk to Torrex that are in charge of handling such type of talent seekers so they can contact you with the required number of talent seekers. It is suggested to ask for 2-3 extra ones than what you need because no-shows and unwillingness to participate are common.
    3. We request Torrex to put us in contact with the talent seekers to avoid any miscommunication or discomfort with the talent seekers.
    4. To recruit newly aware talent seekers, we have the following card to help you recruit them efficiently.
  2. Create a card for each group of users on Torre periodic tests.
  3. Once you finish with your interviews, include a report using this template, assign the card to your functional leader and move it to the column "Under review."
  4. Remember, we shouldn't pay Movers users, the same as we do with our other value tests.
  5. Consider following up with your users one week later to ask about their experience with Torre.
  6. Align and define a goal for the next ‘MOVERS’ sessions to be done. Before starting, you can bring the following questions to the design daily topics:
    1. What interactions and target users of each JTBD are we focusing on?
    2. What are we struggling the most with in Torre?
    3. What’s been the most difficult challenge for Torre?

1. Pre-interview

1.1. Align with TSO the Agile and Account management self-service squads for TS recruitment 🚦

On some occasions, TS recruited for value tests might be confused about the topic of the interview. Some think it might be a sales follow-up or an onboarding session.

To avoid this confusion and any harm to the relationship. The TSO Agile team will recruit TS for the value tests. Align with Vanessa Castro (Head of Talent Solutions) Catalina Morales, head of the Agile squad

*The only exception is with recruiting unaware TS, where the UXR will do it directly.

1.2. Notify, invite and align with the observers 🕵️‍♀️

A lot of ideas can come up from the observer's perspective during a value test interview. It's important to invite them to the sessions and include their notes in the Movers report.
